Ingredients (11)

1.00 onion — finely chopped
15.00 ml butter
7.00 ml curry powder
2.00 ml paprika
30.00 ml flour — cake
750.00 ml water — boiled
2.00 stock cube — vegetable
1.00 bay leaves
125.00 ml milk
125.00 ml cream
250.00 ml peas — frozen

Method:

Sauté the onion in the butter until tender and glossy. Add the curry powder, paprika and cake flour and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Pour the boiling water over the stock cubes and add the curry mixture. Add the bay leaf, stirring continuously until the soup comes to the boil and thickens.
Add the milk, cream and peas and simmer for another few minutes until the peas have defrosted and the soup is warmed through.
Serves 2-3.
