Curried lentils and pear salad

Sort the lentils and cook in boiling water with the bay leaf. When soft, add salt, drain and set aside. Sauté; the onion in a little oil until soft. Add the raisins and curry powder and stir-fry for another minute. Add the brown sugar and season with a little salt. Add to the lentils and mix. Slice the pear halves and serve with the lentils. Alternatively, cube the pears and add to the lentil mixture.
