Ingredients (12)

500.00 ml flour — cake
15.00 ml Baking powder
1.00 ml salt
2.00 eggs — seperated
250.00 ml milk
30.00 ml water
65.00 ml margarine — melted
SAUCE
300.00 g corned beef — minced
410.00 g tomato and onion mix
5.00 ml sugar
30.00 ml fresh parsley — chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix egg yolks, water, milk and margarine. Stir into dry ingredients.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into flour and milk mixture.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into a hot, greased frying pan.
When bubbles rise to the surface, turn over and allow to cook on other side (about 2 minutes).
Drain on kitchen paper.
Heat ingredients for sauce together. Spoon over crumpets and serve.
