Crumbed cumin potatoes

  • 500
    g
    baby potatoes
  • 65
    ml
    butter
  • 5
    ml
    fine cumin (jeera)
  • 3
    slices day-old bread, crusts removed and crumbled
  • 10
    ml
    coarse salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

+/- 25 min
 
Wash potatoes under running water. Don't peel. Heat butter and fry potatoes for about 20 minutes until soft and cooked through. Stir regularly. Add cumin, stirring well, and stir-fry for another five minutes. Add crumbs and fry until crisp. Season to taste and serve with fresh coriander leaves and a spoonful of natural yoghurt. Serves 4.
