    shortcrust pastry
  • 100
    leftover meat, chicken or vegetables, chopped
  • 1
    egg, lightly whisked
  • 50
    vermicelli pasta, broken into pieces
  • 50
    oil for deep-frying


Roll out the pastry until very thin and cut into 5 cm squares.
Spoon a teaspoonful of the meat, chicken or vegetables into the middle of half the squares. Lightly brush the edges of the squares with water and cover with the remaining squares.
Seal the edges firmly. Dip the squares in the whisked egg then in the vermicelli.
Heat the oil and deep-fry the squares until golden brown.
