Crispy corn wafers

Ingredients

  • 120
    g
    mealie meal
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 2
    ml
    cayenne pepper
  • 350
    ml
    boiling water
  • 25
    ml
    melted butler
 

Method

15-20 min
 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Spray a baking tray with non-stick spray. Mix the mealie meal, salt and cayenne pepper together in a mixing bowl. Pour in the boiling water and stir well with a wire beater till smooth. Stir in the butter. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking tray and spread thinly with a knife. Bake for 15-20 minutes or till crisp and done. Remove from the baking tray and serve with cold kidney beans. Makes about 15 wafers.
