Ingredients (10)

1.00 onion — sliced
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
2.00 celery stalks — sliced
oil
4.00 potatoes — peeled and sliced
salt and freshly ground black pepper
6.00 ham — diced
25.00 ml flour — cake
75.00 ml milk
125.00 ml cream

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350° F). Spray an ovenproof dish with non-stick spray.
Sauté the onion, garlic and celery in a little oil till soft.
Arrange half the potato slices in the prepared dish and season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon the onion mixture on top and sprinkle with the diced ham. Arrange the remaining potato slices on top and season to taste with salt and pepper. Blend the cake flour and a little milk to form a smooth paste. Mix with the remaining milk and the cream. Pour over the potatoes and bake for 45-60 minutes or till the potatoes are done.
Serve with a salad.
