Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a 30 x 20 cm ovenproof dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Beat the eggs and sugar until thick and pale yellow.
Sift the cake flour, baking powder and salt over the egg mixture and fold in.
Mix the melted butter or margarine, condensed milk, water and vanilla essence and add to the egg mixture.
Turn into the prepared pie dish and bake for 45-55 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling has set. Cool to room temperature before serving.
Makes 1 medium-sized tart.
