Creamed mushrooms

    fresh black mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 60
    ml
    butter
  • 5
    ml
    garlic, chopped
  • 4
    ml
    cornflour
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • salt and pepper
  • dried tarragon
  • 60
    ml
    cream
 

Method

 
Stir-fry mushrooms in heated butter with chopped garlic for 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle cornflour, mustard powder, a little salt and pepper and dried tarragon over. Gently stir in cream, and stir until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Spoon over hot steaks.
