Ingredients (7)

875.00 ml flour
1.00 ml salt
15.00 ml Baking powder
60.00 g butter
75.00 ml sugar
1.00 nestlé dessert cream
2.00 eggs

Method:

Preheat oven to 180°C, grease oven tray.

Sieve flour, salt and baking powder.

Rub in butter and add sugar.

Beat the eggs and Cream together.

Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and add liquid.

Mix well with a knife and then knead very lightly.

Pat out to a thickness of 2 cm and cut into rounds.

Place on a baking tray and bake for 7 – 10 mintues. (For golden brown scones, brush lightly with milk before baking.

Tips:

Serve scones with jam and extra Nestlé Dessert Cream for tea.

For tasty cheese scones – simply leave out the sugar and add 125 ml grated Cheddar cheese to basic mixture.

If you like raisin scones – just add 125 ml seedless raisins to basic mixture.
