Cream cheese triangle

  • 10
    ml
    gelatine
  • 250
    g
    creamed cottage cheese
  • 20
    ml
    chopped mixed fresh herbs (dill, lemon thyme and chives)
  • 125
    g
    smoked trout fillets
  • rye or wholewheat bread, cut into triangles
  • caviar and sprigs of dill for garnishing (optional)
 

Method

 
Line a baking sheet with plastic wrap. Soak the gelatine in 50 ml water. Blend the cottage cheese and herbs. Dissolve the gelatine and fold into the cottage cheese. Spoon onto the baking sheet, spreading the mixture evenly (about 1 cm thick). Leave to set. Cover with a layer of smoked trout, cover with plastic wrap and chill, preferably overnight. Cut into triangles and arrange on top of the bread triangles. Garnish with caviar and dill.
