Ingredients (3)

quantity basic sweetened dough (see recipe)
100.00 ml jam — berry or apricot
250.00 ml cream — fresh, whipped
icing sugar — for dusting

Method:

Prepare basic sweetened dough according to recipe. After first rising, knead for a few minutes. Divide into 10 or 12 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Place on a greased and lined baking tray, leaving space in between. Allow to rise until doubled in size.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190 ºC for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and cover with a tea towel.
Once cool, slice in half and spread each bun with a layer of jam, then fill with whipped cream. Dust with icing sugar and serve as a special afternoon treat. Makes 12.
