Corned beef slices

    g
    bully beef
  • 25
    ml
    prepared mustard
  • 375
    ml
    cake flour
  • 10
    ml
    baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 1
    extra-large egg, whisked
  • oil for frying
 

Method

 
Cut the bully beef into 1 cm thick slices and spread one side of each slice with mustard. Combine the cake flour, baking powder and salt and add the milk and egg. Stir well with a whisk until smooth and lump-free. Dip the slices of bully beef in the batter and fry both sides in shallow oil until brown and done. Serve with mashed potato and tomato. Makes 8 slices.
