Colourful popcorn

Ingredients

  • 260
    g
    icing sugar
  • 45
    ml
    water
  • 2
    or more, drops food colouring (any colour)
  • 2
    Litres
    popcorn, popped
 

Method

 
Place the icing sugar in a heavy-based saucepan and heat slowly while adding the water a little at a time until a thick paste is formed. Add the food colouring drop by drop and mix well. Add small quantities of the popcorn at a time and mix until the popcorn is lightly covered with the icing sugar mixture. Turn out onto a baking tray to cool. Makes 2 litres coloured popcorn.
