Cocoa banana split

    ml
    castor sugar
  • 45
    ml
    cocoa powder
  • 30
    ml
    water
  • 180
    ml
    evaporated milk
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 3
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 4
    medium-sized bananas
  • 4
    scoops
    vanilla ice cream
 

Method

 
Put sugar, cocoa and water in a small pan. Add milk and stir until it starts boiling. Simmer gently for five minutes, then stir in butter and vanilla. Set aside to cool for about 10 minutes. Peel and halve the bananas. Place two halves in each of four sundae dishes or side plates.

Put a scoop of ice cream on top of each banana half. Pour chocolate sauce over, decorate with candy of your choice and serve.
