Feta in vine leaves

The traditional dolmade combined with feta is perfect for Friday sundowners.

Ingredients

 
  • 200
    g
    feta cheese
  • 1/4
    cup
    olive oil
  • 10
    g
    dill, chopped
  • 1
    tsp
    dried oregano
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon
  • Ground black pepper
  • 16
    pickled vine leaves, stalks trimmed
  • Olives and pita bread to serve

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180ºC.

Break feta into small blocks, place in a bowl, add olive oil and sprinkle with dill, oregano, lemon zest and black pepper. Leave to marinate for 20 min.
Place vine leaves in a bowl, pour over boiling water and allow to stand for 10 min. Remove and rinse well under cold water. Pat dry.

Enclose cheese in vine leaves and place on a lined baking tray. Bake for 10 min.

To serve:

Unwrap vine leaves and serve with bread and olives.
