Cinnamon toast with grilled fruit

    g
    castor sugar
  • 5
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 125
    g
    unsalted butter, melted
  • 6
    thick slices sourdough bread
  • grilled figs or bananas to serve
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 190 ºC. Combine castor sugar and cinnamon, and place in a deep, wide plate. Pour melted butter into another deep, wide plate. Dip each bread slice in butter, turning to coat both sides. Then dip in cinnamon sugar, turning again to coat both sides. Place on a buttered baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes, turning after 10 minutes. Serve warm with grilled fruit. Serves 4-6
