    cake flour

    baking powder

    salt
  • 175
    ml
    plain yoghurt
  • 2
    extra-large eggs
  • 75
    ml
    sugar
  • TOPPING
  • 125
    ml
    soft brown sugar
  • 125
    ml
    margarine
  • 10
    ml
    ground cinnamon
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray a round ovenproof dish 24 cm in diameter, with non-stick spray. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Whisk the yoghurt, eggs and sugar together and add to the dry ingredients. Blend with a spatula until just mixed. On a well-floured surface, roll out the dough until 2 cm thick, cut out circles 6 cm in diameter and arrange in the prepared dish. Blend the ingredients for the topping and melt. Pour over the scones and bake or 20 minutes or until done. Serve hot. Makes about 12 scones.
