Chorizo Pasta

    g
    rigatoni pasta
  • 45
    ml
    olive oil
  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • 3
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4
    chorizo sausages, sliced
  • 150
    ml
    red wine
  • 1
    packet of Denny Spicy Tomato and Chilli Pasta Sauce
  • 20
    g
    fresh basil, chopped
 

Method

1. Cook the pasta until al dente, following the instructions on the packet.
2. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion until soft. Add the garlic and chorizo sausages and sauté until lightly browned. Stir in the red wine and pasta sauce, and simmer for five to 10 minutes.
3. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce, tossing to coat. Stir in the basil and season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Serve garnished with Parmesan shavings, if you prefer.
