  • 500
    ml
    thick cream
  • 500
    g
fine quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 30
    ml
    brandy

Method

Heat the cream slowly until hot. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate pieces. Stir until the chocolate has melted. Divide the mixture equally between two bowls. Add the brandy to one part and the coffee to the other, and mix. Place both bowls in the freezer for one hour or until the mixture is firm. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture at a time and shape into balls. Arrange on the baking sheet. Repeat until everything has been used. Return the baking sheets to the fridge and freeze until hard. Roll the brandy-flavoured balls in the chopped nuts and the coffee-flavoured ones in the crushed coffee beans. Store in the fridge. Makes 50 balls.
