Chocolate-topped macaroons

  • 4
    egg whites
  • 250
    ml
    sugar
  • 1
    kg
    desiccated coconut
  • 125
    ml
    milk chocolate, melted
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Place egg whites, sugar and coconut in a bowl and mix well. With wet hands, shape mixture into balls. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden underneath but still creamy on top. Remove from oven and cool. Drizzle a spoonful of melted chocolate onto each macaroon and leave to set.
