Chocolate sauce

  • 100
    milk or dark chocolate
  • 100
    evaporated milk
  • 5
    rum, brandy or Kahlua (optional)


Place chocolate pieces in a saucepan with the milk. Heat over a low heat.
Stir well once chocolate starts to melt, and remove from heat once the sauce is smooth.
Add the rum, brandy or Kahlua if using.
Serve hot or cold with ice cream, sundaes, cooked fruit such as bananas, and on other puddings.
