Grease six individual ramekins.
Beat together the butter and sugar until light.
Add the eggs, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add the vanilla essence, milk and almonds, and mix well.
Sift the flour and cocoa together and fold it into the egg mixture.
Spoon a layer of pudding mixture into each ramekin.
Put three blocks of chocolate on top of this layer and top with the remaining mixture.
Place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated 180 ºC oven for about 25 minutes, or until spongy to the touch.
Serve with more melted chocolate, or cream.
