Ingredients (10)

250.00 g butter — softened
250.00 g castor sugar
6.00 eggs
250.00 g dark chocolate — melted, cooled
250.00 g almonds — ground
100.00 g breadcrumbs — white
white chocolate — curls, to decorate
ICING
300.00 g dark chocolate
15.00 ml honey
75.00 g butter

Method:

Preheat oven to 190 ºC. Grease a 20 cm diameter springform cake pan.
Cut butter into small pieces. Add sugar and beat until pale and creamy. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition, then gradually stir in chocolate. Fold in almonds and breadcrumbs.
Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
Cool in cake pan, then remove.
ICING: Melt all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Pour over cake and decorate with chocolate curls.
