Chocolate coating

Ingredients

  • 250
    g
    sugar
  • 200
    g
    dark chocolate, melted
  • 3
    ml
    sunflower oil
 

Method

6 minutes
 
Heat sugar and 125 ml water in a saucepan.
Bring to the boil, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool. 
Transfer mixture to a glass bowl and stir in melted chocolate.
Combine well.
Place bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.
Heat for five minutes, stirring to prevent lumps.
Remove from the heat and stir in sunflower oil.
Set aside to cool.
Makes enough to coat a 22 cm round or square cake or 12-14 cupcakes.
