Chocolate chip cookies

    butter
  • 120
    g
    light brown sugar
  • 60
    g
    castor sugar
  • 2
    large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 200
    g
    white bread flour
  • 2
    ml
    bicarbonate of soda
  • 1
    ml
    salt
  • 100
    g
    white chocolate, chopped into blocks
  • 50
    g
    walnuts, chopped
 

Method

10‑12 minutes
 
Beat butter and sugars until light. Add eggs, a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla essence. Stir in flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Add chocolate and nuts and mix until well combined. Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto greased baking trays. Make sure they are well spaced as biscuits will spread. Bake in preheated 180 °C oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove carefully with a palette knife and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
