250.00 ml flour — cake
2.00 ml Baking powder
2.00 ml salt
2.00 ml Bicarbonate of soda
75.00 ml butter — or margerine
125.00 ml white sugar
125.00 ml brown sugar — soft
eggs — extra-large
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
190.00 ml bran — flakes
250.00 ml chocolate — chips

Method:

Preheat the oven to 190 ºC and spray a few baking sheets with non-stick spray or butter lightly. Sift the cake flour, baking powder, salt and bicarbonate of soda together. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg and vanilla essence. Add the dry ingredients and bran flakes to the sugar mixture and mix. Stir in the chopped chocolate chips and drop heaped teaspoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and done. Cool slightly on the baking sheets, place on a wire rack to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Makes about 36 cookies.
