Chocolate and cherry squares

  • 125
    g
    butter
  • 200
    g
    chocolate, broken into squares
  • 30
    ml
    sherry
  • 100
    g
    red glacé cherries, halved
  • 50
    g
    ground almonds
  • 250
    g
    digestive biscuits, crushed
 

Method

 
Melt the butter, chocolate and sherry over low heat. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet and spread evenly with the back of a spoon. Chill until set and cut into squares. Makes 30 squares.
