Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 500
    g
    icing sugar
  • 200
    g
    butter
  • 50
    ml
    milk
  • 60
    g
    cocoa powder
  • 200
    g
    pecan nuts, chopped
  • 10
    ml
    vanilla essence

1. Heat the butter and milk in a saucepan. Sift the icing sugar and cocoa into the saucepan. Stir over the heat and bring to the boil. Once the mixture is boiling, reduce the heat and cook, stirring over a low heat for 20 minutes.

2. Add half the nuts and the vanilla essence. Pour into a greased 20cm square tin and smooth the surface. Sprinkle the remaining nuts on top and press down.

3. Leave to set for about two hours, then cut into squares and enjoy with coffee after the meal.
