    g
    elbow macaroni
  • 1
    small onion, finely chopped
  • 15
    ml
    fresh ginger, grated
  • 45
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    green or red pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 100
    g
    cabbage, shredded
  • 5
    ml
    soy sauce
  • 5
    ml
    vinegar
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

 
Cook the pasta in rapidly boiling salted water until tender. Drain well and transfer to a serving platter. Sauté the onion, fresh ginger (or use 2 ml (1/2 t) ground ginger) and green pepper in the oil until glossy. Add the cabbage and stir-fry until glossy and still crisp. Add the soy sauce and vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon on top of the pasta and serve. Serves 2-3.
