    butter
  • 1
    large clove garlic, crushed
  • 500
    ml
    grated Cheddar cheese
  • 250
    ml
    grated Edam cheese
  • 45
    ml
    beer
  • 2
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1
    chilli, seeded and finely chopped
  • 125
    ml
    smooth cottage cheese (optional)
 

Method

 
Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the garlic until tender. Process the cheeses in a food processor and add the remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. (To make the mixture easier to spread, add the cottage cheese.) Makes about 250 ml (1 c).
