Chilli beef and basil stir-fry

    medium onions, sliced

    piece of ginger, peeled and cut into slices

    green beans, quartered
  • 1
    yellow pepper, cubed
  • 3
    green chillies, sliced
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 500

    beef minute steaks, sliced
  • 50
    ml
    freshly shredded basil
  • SAUCE
  • 20
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 20
    ml
    cornflour
  • 60
    ml
    dark soy sauce
  • 20
    ml
    sugar
 

Method

Heat the oil in a large wok or frying pan. Add the onions, ginger, beans, pepper, chillies and garlic and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the beef and stir-fry for a further minute. Mix the sauce ingredients together and add to the stir-fry. Continue stirring until thickened. Add the basil and serve immediately. Serves: 4 Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: ± 6 minutes
