Chilled tomato soup

    brown or soft brown sugar

    ripe tomatoes, quartered

    fresh basil

    low fat cultured buttermilk

    prepared rich vegetable or chicken stock

    large parsley sprigs
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
 

Method

 
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Season to taste, then pour into a large soup bowl. Chill well before serving.
