    garlic cloves, thinly sliced

    lemon juice
  • 4
    carrots, cut into thin strips
  • 2
    celery stalks, sliced diagonally
  • 30

    soy sauce
  • 15

    dry sherry
  • 1
    small green pepper, seeded and cut into strips
  • 5
    ml
    honey
  • 3
    cm
    piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1
    handfull
    bean sprouts to garnish
  • 15
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    small yellow pepper, seeded and cut into strips
  • 2
    grated rind of lemons
  • 375

    chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1
    small onion, cut into wedges
 

Method

Mix the chicken, sherry, onion, carrots and ginger and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a large pan or wok and stir-fry the garlic, celery and peppers for 1 minute. Add the chicken mixture and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
Stir in the soy sauce, honey, lemon juice and rind and stir-fry for 1 minute longer. Scatter the sprouts on top just before serving.
Serve with Asian rice noodles.
