Chicken, pork and vegetable kebabs

  • 90

    dark soya sauce
  • 15

    oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 15

    Chinese five-spice mixture
  • 15
    ml
    honey
  • 3
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • KEBABS
  • 450
    g
    chicken breast fillets
  • 450
    g
    pork fillet
  • 300
    g
    broccoli, broken into florets
  • 1
    red pepper, cubed
  • 100
    g
    baby corn, each cut into 3 pieces
  • 15
    ml
    toasted sesame seeds
 

Method

 
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
Slice the chicken and pork into strips and place in separate bowls.
Place the vegetables in a third bowl.
Divide the marinade among the 3 bowls, ensuring everything is coated.
Marinate for 2 hours in the fridge.
Thread the meat strips onto separate skewers, alternating with the vegetables.
Braai until the meat is done and the vegetables are browned.
Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve with satay sauce.
