Chicken liver paté

Ingredients

    g
    chicken livers
  • 250
    g
    Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2
    garlic cloves
  • 60
    g
    butter
  • 125
    g
    cooked ham, diced
  • 5
    ml
    salt and pepper
  • 55
    g
    butter, melted
 

Method

Combine the chicken livers, wine and garlic, and marinate overnight.
Stir occasionally. Drain the livers.
Heat the butter in a frying pan and sauté the livers until browned.
Remove from the heat and place in a food processor with the ham and a clove of garlic. Process until smooth.
Season with salt and pepper and spoon into 4 ramekins.
Pour over melted butter and refrigerate until set. Serve with toast.
