Chicken korma

Ingredients

    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 6
    chicken breast fillets, cubed
  • 20
    ml
    medium curry powder (or more to taste)
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 250
    ml
    natural yoghurt
  • 5
    ml
    cornflour
  • 50
    ml
    slivered almonds, toasted
  • 30
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 30
    ml
    freshly chopped coriander
  • 1
    medium onion, sliced
 

Method

10 minutes
 
1. Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and curry powder and cook for one minute. 2. Mix the cornflour into the yoghurt and add to the saucepan. Stir in 50 ml water and heat until simmering gently. 3. Add chicken and simmer for five minutes until chicken is cooked through. Stir in lemon juice and coriander. Season to taste with salt and serve sprinkled with toasted almonds.
