Ingredients (11)

8.00 chicken — pieces
salt
freshly ground black pepper
15.00 ml oil
1.00 onion — large, sliced
2.00 cinnamon — sticks
1.00 garlic — cloves, chopped
500.00 g sweet potatoes — peeled and diced
500.00 g butternut — peeled and diced
250.00 ml stock — chicken
125.00 g prunes

Method:

Season the chicken portions with salt and pepper and brown in the hot oil. Add the onion, cinnamon sticks and garlic and sauté until the onion is soft. Add the sweet potato and butternut and pour over some of the chicken stock. Cover and simmer until the chicken and vegetables are done. Add the prunes just before the dish is done. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.
Serves 6-8.
