Ingredients (15)

15.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
2.00 garlic — cloves, finely chopped
1.00 fresh ginger — peeled, finely chopped
350.00 g chicken breast fillets — cut into strips
1.00 red pepper — very finely chopped
1.00 yellow pepper — deseeded and sliced
1.00 green pepper — deseeded and sliced
2.00 courgettes — thinly sliced, diagonally
1.00 leeks — thinly sliced
150.00 g mangetout
5.00 ml Chinese five-spice powder
30.00 ml sherry — dry
15.00 ml soy sauce — light
salt and freshly ground black pepper
sesame seeds — to garnish

Method:

1. Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry over high heat for 30 seconds.
2. Add chicken and stir-fry for one to two minutes, until lightly browned. Add peppers, courgettes, leek and
mangetout, and stir-fry for a further two to three minutes.
3. Add five spice powder, sherry, soy sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Stir-fry for another three to four minutes until chicken and vegetables are cooked and tender.
4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with rice noodles.
