Chicken Tikka Masala

  • 1
    pawpaw
  • 3
    garlic crushed
  • 5
    ml
    chilli powder
  • 250
    ml
    plain yoghurt
  • 30
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 5
    ml
    garam masala
  • 3
    red food colouring
  • 3
    ginger crushed
 

Method

 

Remove skin and bones from chicken and cut into portions.
Blend onions, garlic, ginger and pawpaw into a smooth
paste.
Mix in chilli powder and garum masala, add food colouring, salt and lemon juice.

Brush chicken pieces with mixture and let it marinate overnight.
Heat ghee or butter in a pan, add marinated chicken and fry for1minute, pour remaining marinade over chicken, cover and simmer over low heat until chicken pieces are tender.
Serve hot with rice.
