Ingredients (8)

4.00 green pepper — halved
250.00 g cheese — sliced
fresh basil
SAUCE
65.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
30.00 ml lemon juice
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
65.00 ml fresh basil — finely chopped
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

Boil the green pepper halves in a little water until tender enough to fold in half. Rinse under cold water and drain.
Place a slice of cheese in each green pepper half and secure with a cocktail stick.
Season with basil to taste.
Blend all the ingredients for the sauce and brush the green peppers liberally with the mixture. Grill over medium-hot coals until the cheese has melted.
Serve immediately with the leftover sauce.
