Cheesy beer loaf

    self-raising flour

    salt

    Cheddar cheese, diced
  • 340
    ml
    beer
  • 50
    ml
    water
  • 50
    ml
    sesame seeds
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC and spray a 19 x 9 x 7 cm loaf tin with non-stick spray or butter lightly. In a large bowl sift together the self-raising flour and salt. Add the diced cheese and beer and mix. Add the water if the batter is too dry. Stir and spoon into the prepared loaf tin. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and bake for 1 hour until golden brown and ready. Cool slightly in the loaf tin before turning out and serve lukewarm or cold. Makes one medium-sized loaf or about 10 slices.
