Cheese mushroom filling

    ml
    margarine
  • 15
    ml
    flour
  • 125
    ml
    low fat milk
  • 150
    g
    fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2
    ml
    mustard powder
  • salt to taste
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 50
    ml
    Cheddar or gouda cheese
 

Method

 
1. Place margarine, flour, milk, mushrooms, mustard powder, salt and cayenne pepper into a saucepan over a medium heat. 2. Bring to boil, stirring continuously. Allow sauce to boil for 1 minute. 3. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese. Makes about 200 ml sauce - enough for about 6 potatoes.
