    butter
  • 250
    g
    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 240
    g
    cake flour
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 60
    g
    puffed rice
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Cream the butter until smooth and add the cheese. Mix well. Sift the cake flour, mustard powder and salt together, and add to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add the puffed rice and mix. Shape into walnut-sized balls and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until straw-coloured and done. Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
