Cheese and olive bread

Ingredients

    g
    self-raising flour
  • 50
    ml
    cornflour
  • 250
    ml
    grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1
    medium onion, finely chopped
  • 500
    ml
    buttermilk
  • 20
    black olives, halved and pitted
  • 10
    ml
    salt
  • 5
    ml
    paprika
  • 20
    ml
    melted butter
 

Method

1 hour
 
Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Mix all the ingredients, except the melted butter, together in a large bowl, reserving a little cheese to sprinkle on top. Spoon mixture into 2 greased loaf tins and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for 1 hour. As soon as the bread comes out of the oven, brush with melted butter, slice and serve. Makes 2 loaves.
