Ingredients (9)

500.00 g flour — self-raising
50.00 ml cornflour
250.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated
1.00 onion — medium, finely chopped
500.00 ml Buttermilk
20.00 olives — black, pitted and halved
10.00 ml salt
5.00 ml paprika
20.00 ml butter — melted

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 ºC. Mix all the ingredients, except the melted butter, together in a large bowl, reserving a little cheese to sprinkle on top.
Spoon mixture into 2 greased loaf tins and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for 1 hour. As soon as the bread comes out of the oven, brush with melted butter, slice and serve. Makes 2 loaves.
