250.00 g flour — cake
1.00 ml salt
150.00 g butter — cold
100.00 g biltong — sliced
125.00 g mature cheddar cheese — grated
45.00 ml water — cold

Method:

Sift flour and salt together into a bowl. Cut in the butter, then rub with your fingertips to resemble crumbs.
Add chopped biltong and cheese. Make a well in the centre and add the water. Stir to form a firm dough.
Shape into a log shape, cover in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Cut into thin slices. Place on to a greased baking tray and bake in preheated 180 °C oven for 15-20 minutes, until beginning to brown.
Cool on a baking rack.
