Cheese and bacon loaf

    ml
    self-raising flour
  • pinch salt
  • 10
    ml
    butter
  • 200
    ml
    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8
    rashers streaky bacon, fried and finely chopped
  • 150
    ml
    milk
  • 15
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 15
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Sift the flour and salt together and rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles bread crumbs. Add the cheese and bacon and mix lightly. Mix the milk, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce and add to the dry ingredients. Mix lightly until just blended and shape into a circle on the baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until done. Serve hot with butter and cheese.
