Cheddar puffs

    cup
    cake flour
  • 3
    ml
    salt
  • 3
    ml
    dry mustard
  • 3
    ml
    cayenne pepper
  • 4
    tsp
    baking powder
  • 3
    Tbs
    melted butter
  • 100
    g
    grated cheese
  • 1
    extra large egg
  • 200
    ml
    milk
 

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C. Sift cake flour. Add baking powder, salt, mustard powder and cayenne pepper. Mix in melted butter.

Beat the egg with the milk and stir into dry ingredients. Fold in the grated cheese.

Three-quarter fill greased muffin cups with mixture.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean. Cool and serve.
