Cheat's tandoori chicken drumsticks

    chicken drumsticks
  • 15
    ml
    each ground cumin and coriander
  • 5
    ml
    cayenne pepper
  • 5
    ml
    paprika
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 5
    ml
    minced ginger
  • 1
    small lime or lemon, juice
  • 250
    ml
    natural yoghurt
 

Method

 
Wipe chicken drumsticks with a damp cloth. Place in a shallow dish. Mix cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, ginger, lime juice and yoghurt and pour over chicken. Marinate for as long as possible, turning once or twice. Remove drumsticks from marinade, place on a rack and bake at 200 ºC for 45 to 60 minutes, basting once or twice.
