2. Stir in the rice until thoroughly coated with butter
and sugar. Add the milk, cream, vanilla seeds,
lemon zest and cardamom seeds and stir until the
mixture begins to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer
the rice for 30 minutes or until cooked, stirring
occasionally. Once the rice has cooked, the mixture
should still contain a fair amount of sauce. Garnish
with the lemon zest and serve immediately.
